What our "tartes" are made of?

At Tartes & Pop®, we pride ourselves in making all our tartes and fillings from the freshest and finest quality ingredients. A good cake is pretty easy to make but if you want to achieve a great tarte, it requires savoir-faire and years of experience. Lighter and more gourmet than a regular cake, our tartes not only look great... they taste as good as they look!


What are tartes are made of?
Finishing

Simple yet sophisticated, that is the first thing you will discover when you will open the box. It is the prelude of your tarte.

Cream

This is the essence of our tartes. Soft, smooth and full of flavour: the cream will melt in your mouth, feeling like a caress for your taste buds.

Crunchy base

Although most pastry shops in town are using mass manufactured frozen crunchy base, we decided to make our own ones... Fresh from the oven, they taste like heaven... The crunch is way more than just the base of the tartes, its buttery taste is an essential part of the product.

Fruit marmelade

This is where all the character and the freshness of your tarte really lies.

Sponge

Soft and yet full of flavour, the layer of sponge cake is the beating heart of your tarte.

What is our story?

Tartes & Pop® is the very first French tarts specialized shop in Hong Kong. Lou Campagna and his best friend, Thibaut Carminho, established Tartes & Pop® in 2014 when they realized that it was actually difficult to find a good French tarte in Hong Kong.

The two friends dreamed of a new kind of pastry shop where amazing quality would not have to follow the cold and impersonal rules of luxury. They spent more than a year to come up with what is, in their opinion, the ultimate good-mood boosting combo: funky music, friendly staff and delicious tarts.

Lou built his reputation as a pastry chef from 8 years working for the very famous chocolate company Valrhona®, all around Asia. During this time, he had the chance to teach and share his knowledge with chefs from prestigious hotels such as the Ritz-Carlton®, the Grand Hyatt®, the Mandarin Oriental®, the Four Seasons®, the Peninsula® and many others...

Thibaut is passionate about branding and has a sales management background in a marketing agency. Real creative thinker, he helped creating Tartes & Pop® very unique brand identity.
